If you record the whole of any 4D baby scan onto DVD it produces a disc that is frustrating to watch. Fact.

The reason is because babies do not always pose for ultrasound pictures.

During any 4D scan the sonographer constantly has to adjust the transducer to compensate for a moving baby and therefore some portions of the DVD will contain unrecognisable images.

Also the operator regularly needs to switch back to conventional 2D ultrasound to re-align the probe, mixing numerous medical images with the life like pictures of your baby that you want to see..

All these distracting and uninteresting moments add up, sometimes to nearly 60% of the scan time, and are usually captured onto the DVD recording along with the 3D baby images that you really want to see.

The end result is that when it comes to watching the DVD the time you spend wrestling with the remote control searching for the best images diminishes the experience of showing off your unborn child to family and friends.

HOW LONG IS THE DVD?

As a rough guide; in a 30 minute appointment you will be scanned for about 20 minutes. 20 minutes of 4D scanning where the baby is in a good position will generate around 10 minutes of recognisable 4D images. Of that 10 minutes around 8 - 9 minutes of 4D images will be the very best.

What we do is expertly join them all together so you don't have to hunt around for them later.

Of course with our professional editing process we can repeat spectacular moments, freeze frame a smile and zoom in for greater detail. No other 4D scan service can offer you this level of sophistication.

The whole editing process happens in real time to minimise waiting time for the DVD to be produced. In most cases the editing process is finished before you have even left the scan room.

A MENU + DVD-ROM

From the DVD menu you can choose your soundtrack - either the sound of your baby’s heartbeat or specially commissioned music to accompany your moving 4D baby images.

Even the JPEG still images for emailing are written to the same DVD disc. You take away one stylish package containing everything.
